Aarogya Keralam: Health Is Wealth

A citizen-supported initiative promoting stronger food-safety enforcement, laboratory testing transparency, and public accountability.

Food safety inspection

The Challenge & Action Plan

Food adulteration and unsafe food practices represent serious public-health concerns. MKGA believes enforcement should be systematic, scientifically based, and transparent to the public.

Key Pillars of Aarogya Keralam

1. Regular Inspection & Testing

Encourage government authorities to conduct consistent, scientific testing of food establishments and markets.

2. Public Transparency

Advocate for laboratory-testing records to be accessible to citizens through public online dashboards.

3. RTI & Legal Framework

Use Right to Information (RTI) to obtain and publish public records on food-safety administration and enforcement actions.

4. Youth & Citizen Participation

Empower students, food researchers and citizens to report violations, verify quality and educate consumers.

The objective is not confrontation. The objective is better enforcement, greater transparency, informed citizens, and safer food for every family in Kerala.
